This program is NEW to the Fraser Valley, aimed at providing opportunities for youth in grades 2-8 to learn the game of volleyball and compete in a fun environment.
The program will utilize training in a 4v4 setting, ensuring that each athlete gets the highest number of volleyball touches possible. Playing volleyball in 4s is the preferred method for training youth in Brazil and many other countries around the world.
Each week, athletes will learn and be challenged to develop their individual skills, while working cooperatively with teammates. Sessions will be tailored to each age group with appropriate drills and competitions.
Players will be placed into teams of 4 or 5 and will compete weekly in a league format. The final day will be our "Championship Day" where we will finish off the league play with a fun day of skills competitions and team playoffs.
Each session runs for 1.5 hours on Sundays at Langley Christian High school.
Our spring session starts on April 15 and will run until May 27 (no session on May 20).
Cost for the program will be $250 for first time participants and $225 for those who are participating in our current winter session from January-March. Fees cover club membership and gear, insurance and training sessions with coaches.
